Swansea University is to spend over £1 million of extra money on areas that will directly have an impact on students day-to-day experience, such as providing more computers, and making more careers support available, to help students boost their employability.

This new funding is the latest boost to work over the past few years, with students as partners, to enhance the student experience.
The latest National Student Survey results show that satisfaction levels amongst students at Swansea University remain high, with 86% of students responding that they are satisfied with their overall student experience.  Picture:  students in Cafe Blas on campusVice Chancellor Professor Richard B Davies said:
“We are pleased to announce that more than £1 million has been released across a wide range of areas which will have a major positive impact on students. We will be funding enhancements in Learning Resources, Careers, teaching spaces, student support services and student PCs. We will be releasing more detail about how this resource will be spent over the coming months."
Students' Union President Zahid Raja said:
"This is fantastic news! The additional investment will go far to enhance the support students receive whilst at University. The close relationship that exists between colleagues in the University and the Students' Union has enabled us to work together to help identify areas in need for additional resource - I look forward to seeing how this partnership develops."
