Singapore Raffles Music College (SRMC) is a tertiary institution registered with the Council for Private Education (CPE). Besides being one of Singapore’s most established institution of higher learning for music and arts education, SRMC was awarded EduTrust Provisional in 2011.

Steeped in the tradition of excellence, SRMC possesses not only comprehensive curricula, excellent infrastructure, innovative teaching methods but also a team of highly qualified, dedicated and professional academic team. In addition, the College periodically invites renowned musicians (local and overseas) to enhance our student’s musical knowledge and skills.

In 2010, SRMC partnered London College of Music, University of West London – one of the most prestigious tertiary institution in UK- to offer the Foundation Degree in Music Performance (FDMus) programme. SRMC prides itself as the first private tertiary institution outside UK to offer this programme.

Through the years, SRMC has dedicated itself to producing professional musicians. In addition, the College embarked on a journey of continuous improvement to provide our students with the best music and arts education which in turn provides them with a head start in their career.

Course Objective
The Certificate in Music (CMus) is a one or two year full-time course that provides students with a strong foundation in musical knowledge and abilities.

The CMus programme equips aspiring musicians with the necessary skills to further their musical abilities via structured courses in music theory, ear training, music communication and their principal study area. Students interested in conducting can also take an introductory course to conducting as an elective.

Course Outcome

Students graduating from the course will receive a Certificate in Music conferred by SRMC, and have a performance proficiency equivalent to the London College of Music (LCM)/Trinity/ABRSM Grade 6 or better in their chosen principal study, and a music theory proficiency equivalent to the London College of Music (LCM)/Trinity/ABRSM Grade 5 or better.

The College provides its student with a broad-based education to prepare them for a career in music performance.  The curriculum provides a strong foundation for students to continue their artistic development at outstanding graduate schools or to become an artist at a professional level. 

IELTS: New students must registration management Raffles College of Music in Singapore to attend a placement test to determine their proficiency in English. You only have to participate in completion of this test before they can study IELTS preparation courses.


Professional arts diploma: over 17 years old, with middle school or high school diploma caught welcome to apply for admission. Students are required to Cambridge "O" Level, "N" Level, or other international secondary school equivalent test scores to prove qualifications. Institute of merit, with particular emphasis on the applicant's artistic talent. The academic department will be evaluated by audition and interview applicants.

Music Certificate: 15 years of age or more, students are required to pass in Cambridge "O" level with 3 subjects, or "N" level passes or other international secondary school equivalent test scores to prove qualifications. Institute of merit, with particular emphasis on the applicant's artistic talent. The academic department will be evaluated by audition and interview applicants.


Diploma of Music College: international students, requirements of IELTS score of at least 5.5. Interview / Audition this course all applicants must undergo interviews and auditions.


Advanced diploma in music: 17 years of age, with a secondary or high school diploma caught welcome to apply for admission. Students are required to Cambridge "O" Level, "N" Level, or other international secondary school equivalent test scores to prove qualifications. Institute of merit, with particular emphasis on the applicant's artistic talent. The academic department will be evaluated by audition and interview applicants.

Bachelor of Music degree: 18 years of age or older, with a secondary qualification are welcome to apply for admission. Students are required to Cambridge "A" level or equivalent in other international high school test scores to prove qualifications. Institute of merit, with particular emphasis on the applicant's artistic talent. The college will merit, with particular emphasis on applicant's artistic talent. The academic department through the audition and interview to evaluate the applicant
